Purpose of the SHAMAR Ministry

 

The SHAMAR team exists to support and serve the leadership of Ignite Ministries with excellence, humility, and integrity. This ministry functions behind the scenes to help ensure that services, events, and ministry moments flow smoothly and without distraction. The SHAMAR team serves as trusted helpers - covering leadership in service and practical support.

S - Support the vision

A - Assist to protect the Word of God

M - Maintain faithfulness

A - Anticipate needs of the ministry

R - Represent Jesus at all times

What DOES THE SHAMAR TEAM DO?

Members of the SHAMAR team may assist with:

• Supporting pastors and leadership during services and events

• Preparing and maintaining the altar and worship environment

• Assisting with transitions, seating, and ministry flow

• Providing service before, during, and after services

• Helping ensure order, reverence, and readiness
   

The Heart of A SHAMAR MEMBER

SHAMAR team members are called to:

• Serve with humility and discretion

• Walk in unity with leadership and ministry teams

• Maintain a prayerful, submitted spirit

• Protect the atmosphere of worship and the Word of God going forth

• Lead by example in character and faithfulness

This ministry is not about visibility, but faithful service.
 

Training & Requirements

To serve on the SHAMAR team, individuals must:

• Complete SHAMAR training (7 weeks going through the book God's Armor Bearers by Terry Nance).

• Be an active member or consistent attendee of Ignite Ministries

• Walk in spiritual maturity and integrity

• Demonstrate a heart for service and submission

Additional background checks or safety training may be required depending on responsibilities.
