The Ignite Safety Team exists to ensure a safe, secure, and peaceful environment for everyone who walks through our doors. Our goal is to allow worship, ministry, and community to take place with confidence and care. Safety at Ignite is proactive, compassionate, and well-prepared.
 

Our Purpose

• Maintain a safe and welcoming atmosphere for worship

• Protect children, youth, senior adults, families, volunteers, and staff

• Respond calmly and effectively to emergencies

• Support the church’s mission while minimizing risk
   

Areas of Focus

Medical Preparedness

Our team is trained to respond to medical situations quickly and appropriately to ensure the well-being of all attendees.
 

De-escalation & Situational Awareness

We utilize proven de-escalation techniques and maintain strong situational awareness to prevent and manage potential conflicts before they escalate.
 

Active Threat Response

The Safety Team is trained to respond appropriately to active threat situations with the highest priority on preserving life.
 

Child, Youth & Senior Protection

Ignite is committed to protecting our most vulnerable populations.

• Safety protocols are in place for:

  • Nursery

  • Children’s Ministry

  • Youth Ministry

  • Senior Adult Ministry

• Background checks are required for all volunteers and staff working with children, youth, senior citizens or any vulnerable population.

These measures help ensure a safe, secure, and trusted environment for individuals and families.
 

Emergency Procedures

Our team is prepared and trained in:

• Fire safety procedures

• Severe weather response

• Medical emergency protocols

Clear procedures are in place to guide staff, volunteers, and congregants during emergency situations.

 

Training & Oversight

 

The Ignite Safety Team:

• Provides ongoing training for volunteers and staff

• Reviews and updates safety protocols regularly

• Works closely with ministry leaders to ensure consistency and accountability
